Above is the Library answer. The soil treatment for non-toxic control is the use of a layer of 00 sandblasting sand. It has to be a completely unbroken layer under slabs, around beams and around piers. It's a lot of trouble and expensive. Treating all wood prior to covering it is a better approach. Borate products like Bora-Care and Tim-Bor are available. |
