Not so much a question as a statement-

Yesterday it was about 25 degrees when I took the dog for a walk. Down the street was a smallish robin-maybe not full grown?-in the street, just off the curb a ways.

I picked him up carefully, he didn't like it but didn't struggle either. Now what, I thought. Knowing if I took him home he would probably die-this has happened b/4 w/birds so I don't try to nurse them back. Plus there's our beagle/terrier mix...

So I set him on a small branch about 6' up in a photinia in the neighbors' yard where the street was that I found him. At first he seemed to nearly fall & not grasp the twig but then he stood more erect & grapped w/both feet.

He wasn't there this am. Hope he made it!

Patty
