Does anyone know if they can grow in limestone soil? They are small maple trees and I would like to plant them between larger trees.

Chalk maple - yes, great tree. Amur - probably no unless you have red soil. Does very well in the sandy acid soils of East Texas.

Thanks! Chalk maple it is. They should go with two caddo and three shantung (one regular and two 'Fire Dragon') maples nicely...
