Hi All
I looking for suggestions to save my apple tree. I believe that I have fire blight on my apple tree (Red Delicious). The noticed sticky substance leaking from a pruned branch and the center of the exposed branch was blackish brown. I pruned the branch off 12 inches below the infected branch, but the new exposed branch core was also brownish-black. I put the tree gunk (1/3 composted cow manure,1/3 diatomasious earth, 1/3 soft rock phosphate), but the new area continues to leak the fluid. Note:
I had basically cut the branch all the way back to the main stem. (I did sterilize my pruning clips after this). I am afraid I cannot save my tree. What can I do? |

| I can't say this will definitely work, but at least you're trying. Spray it with milk and seaweed. You can mix the two or spray them on alternate days. Mix them at 2 ounces per gallon of water and spray every other day until you see improvement. Then go to every other week spraying. |
