Any experiences with this tree in the DFW area. Howard's book says great shade tree and fairly fast growing. Thxs in advance for responses.

I don't recommend it as much as I used to - for two reasons. One is that this tree is notorious for being too deep in the containers and later in the ground causing circling and girdling roots. Second, it has ben placed on the invasive species list. Birds are planting it all over the place. Other than that it is a beautifully colorful and fairly fast growing tree.
