| Does anyone have experience using dairy manure on pastures? i think I have found some sources close by, but am looking to find someone with a manure spreader that I could hire. Any thoughts? |

There used to be a lot of dairies in North Texas, including the one my neighbor here in McKinney ran for 50 years. He dumped the manure in the field across from my house and to this day, that field produces more and better grain crops than any of his others.
I have been looking for a manure spreader also with no luck. Tractor Supply and John Deere sell a small unit but the price is steep.

The farm is in NE Cooke County. There are several dairies not too far away.
M & S Dairy Farm Center in Gainesville has an 80 bushel spreader (new) for $4500. But I would rather find someone who has one and would custom apply it for me. |
