Found a little black worm with a white stripe down its back munching on my pepper plants in the garden. Garlic pepper doesn't seem to phase them. Any recommendations? :?

Sounds like some sort of caterpillar. Here is a good place to ID them: http://www.whatsthiscaterpillar.co.uk/america/

I've been dusting my basil and pepper plants with DE and putting a mound of sharp pecan mulch around the base of each plant. So far it's working great.
