Anyone know of a rescue organization or someone who'd like a sweet 12 year old Chesepeake Bay Retreiver? He's a dear animal but has lived in an apartment for the last few years and just isn't getting enough exercise and he needs to live outside more. He belongs to my sister and we need to find a new home for him whre he'll be more comfortable. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

At 12 yrs. old he only may have a few more years to live. Has she had him his entire life? That would seem cruel in itself to seperate him from her. Too bad she can't just walk him more, take him to the dog park or even hire someone to take him for long daily walks.

Yes, I agree it's a sad situation but we've got to do what's best for the dog and for her. She's just not able to get him out more because of her work situation. I've taken him for periods in the past and he's a sweet animal but getting older. It was a hard decision for her to make but she wants to do what's best for the dog. I also am moving to a smaller place or I would take him myself. He's so gentle he even plays with my 5 lbs. Yorkie without hurting him and my cats are absolutely unafraid of him. I just hate that she's got to face this situation but we're at a point of hard decisions.

Thanks for your input, Sandi.
