|
|
My husband bought some kind of flea control for $10.00.
He put it on lthem and one of the cats salavated a lot.
That cat seems ok this morning but he won't come near me.
What do I do to get it of them?

| Was it Frontline or something you rub into the skin, or powder? With either one, you need to give the cat a bath in mild soap. If it was something you rub into the skin, it won't come off except on the fur because it seeps in through the skin. In the future, just was the cat with mild soap and treat infected areas with DE and vacuum. Works really well. |

Be really careful, those drops have really been bad on many cats. Cats' livers can't break down things the same way as dogs and that is why even something seemingly as harmless as some herbs can be toxic to them.
DE dusted lightly shouldn't bother them, so long as you don't create a dust storm while applying. Also, there is a natural product on the market that is basically, enzymes, that can be used when you are grooming your cat - or, if you dare again, bathing it. It is called flea n tick be gone and it is great stuff, same maker as lice b gone.
We use it to spray the horses down, kill mosquitoes flying in the air and just about anything else you spray it on, it will kill. It works by breaking down the "skin" of the insects, like de in a way, only much faster. Something about watching a skeeter drop from the air that brings a smile to my face. |
