I have used the personal spray version of Skeeter D'Feeter for years on myself, my kids and my dog. FYI - the personal spray has geranium oil in it as well as the citronella.
I have used this product on my dog for several years with no harmful side effects, no greasy residue and he smells good too! Being a 5 lbs. Yorkie he's very sensitive to chemicals so I'm always careful what I put on him. He likes it so I don't have problems with him. He also gets a product that has garlic in it in cookie form and that surely helps.
The yard spray of Skeeter D'Feeter helps but with this unrelenting rain it doesn't last as long - darn it! Spreading garlic helps a lot, and spraying it into your wet areas, on the underside of shrub leaves, etc. helps a lot too.
Good luck, y'all and use that stuff on the dogs! It smells GOOD!

Be sure to read the label carefully. The dunks I use for mosquito control in standing water need replacing every 30 days to be effective! |
