TOFGA works to empower others by providing educational opportunities on current issues pertaining to farms and local food. In 2007 we will be launching our first annual Farm & Food Leader's Training, working with other national orginizations to hear from experts concerning policies and issues that effect our daily lives. This will be a unique opportunity to learn, network and to be refreshed, knowing that we are all working together to better Texas and the health of our communities.
A two-day workshop designed to expand grassroots leadership around the state on current issues relating to food and farm policies. Multiple groups, facilitated by the Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Assoc. (www.tofga.org), are working to build the network of leaders who are informed and equipped to better communicate about farm and food policies in their communities.
