Anyone ever tried it? Some sites say it will grow well in the alkaline soils, but others...not so much.

I asked Keith at Metro Maples about it and he said yes they can grow in alkaline soil as long as they are protected from afternoon sun during the summer.

Its a pretty tree. Don't know if I have room for it, but I'd love to try it.

I have some mature junk trees on my lot that are starting to die off. I may have to wait until that occurs before planting.
