It's the first of November and all the leaves have fallen off one of my crape myrtles. Do you think it's sick? It is planted infront of a retaining wall and behind some shrubs. It has always been okay in the past. Should I just apply sick tree treatment?

Many trees have had early leaf drop this year even though we haven't had a hard freeze yet. The STT certainly won't hurt but your tree is probably in no danger.

Howard, do you think the early leaf drop is due to all the rain this year?

Yes, that followed by the intense heat. Plant roots had become lazy and weak.
