| Here in E. TX we just had about 20 large pine trees heavily damaged by a tornado. I was wondering if it is OK to us a chipper/shredder to mulch up all of the smaller limbs, bark, wood and all. I know that the bark has been used in the past, but I'm just wondering if this would be a good idea. We certainly have a lot of material to clean up. Thanks. |

Hopefully you'll get a reply from someone more knowledgable than I am...but all I've heard/read says shredded pine is fine.

| No problem. When the entire pine tree is ground into shredded material, a good mulch is created. Wood, bark and needles all mixed together have a balance that works well. If other trees are used and mixed in, the results will be even better. |
