Trades Anybody?

I was wondering if anybody would like to trade seeds and plants this year. I'm already collecting columbine seeds. Later I will have the purple Texas native clematis seeds. I will also have several plants to trade when it cools down enough to mail them. I'm interested in shade plants and seeds.

If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll work up a trade list for those items that I know I will have.

I'm interested. Some of the shade plants I have that could be probably propagated from seeds or cuttings are beautyberry, turk's cap, 4 O'clocks, Eve's Necklace, wax myrtle, and rivina (pigionberry).

That's great to hear. I would be interested in 4 o'clocks.
Some of the plants I have thought about that I have to trade are red alstromeria, clerodendrum bungeii (invasive), some hostas, creeping jenny, lariope, and a small climbing rose called blaze. I'm sure I will think of others as time goes on.

I know it's early to be trading plants but I think of things I need to thin out or divide when I'm out in the garden. I also wanted to add that I don't use any pesticides and use only organic fertilizers. My major source of bug control is an army of birds, frogs, and spiders. Works very well.

I would love to trade for some clematis seed. I have been looking everywhere for seed or plant but can't find it. I have purple coneflower and feverfew and the native red colombine. Is your colombine the yellow or red?

I have the pink, blue and red columbines seeds. They are mixed together though. I would be happy to send the clematis seeds for postage when they are ready. They have an excellent germination rate and don't require special care as far as watering or fertilizers.

That would be great. Just let me know when the seeds are ready and I will send you postage. Let me know if there is something you want and maybe I'll have it or be able to find it. I wonder if there is some way we can exchange e-mail addresses?

For those of you who want to exchange email addresses or info without making them public, you can use the Private Messaging (PM) function of this board. Just click the PM button contained in a post from the person you want to contact - then you can send a private message that only that user can view the next time they log on. The system will actually send the person an email to let them know they have a PM. If you can't find a post from a particular user, you can always find them using the Search button or the Memberlist.
