 Post subject: Acorns covering lawn

I have a 45 year old oak that has covered the San Augustine lawn with acorns to the extent that you could not walk there barefoot. Is such a concentration a problem for the lawn?

It's my understanding thtat you can rake 'em up & toss 'em into the compost.

Yeah, at that point you're shading out the underlying grass. Rake them up and compost them.
