Many years ago, when we first created a front bed for flowers, bushes, small trees, etc. we added Asian Jasmine. The bed goes across the entire front of the house- about 80 feet, and varies in depth from 5-9 feet. When we planted the 72 sprigs, I thought it would never cover the bare dirt. Now, 16 years later, it is everywhere. I've had no success at containing it with borders or steel dividers. Does anyone know how to get rid of it? It would take forever to dig it all out, and it grows faster than I dig. I've been doing ok at keeping it out of the small crepe myrtles and pine tree, but it has pretty well taken over everything else.
Appreciate it if you would send along any ideas for containment or removal.

I know that stuff is invasive! Have you tried mulching it with a mulching mower? I would start out on the highest setting then mow it over again and again lowering the mower each time. If you do this in the heat of the summer, I would think the Asian jasmine would die. Toss the clippings in the compost pile. You do not want to protect it! Be sure and mulch about 3-4"over the bare soil with shredded cedar or hardwood.

I don't know if this would help, but I've seen folks around here do it. Place an ad in the paper offering free asian jasmine if folks would just come and dig it up to take with them. I would come and dig it up, but I think I'm a little further away.
