I noticed that on the profile options there is an Avatar control panel, but the ability to add avatars seems to be disabled.
We have a lovely picture of our son with HG that I'd like to add to my info, but would like to know if it has to be remotely hosted, if you can upload it directly to the site, or if there is really an ability to put avatars on our listed info.

Entwife,
I didn't have the avatars enabled up to this point - no one else expressed an interest! I've enabled their use - currently from linking from a remote host only. I believe the maximum pixel dimensions are 80 x 80, and max size is around 6.1 kb (6100bytes). This is a small image.
Note to all users: An avatar is a small image that will appear below your user name on post that you make on the board. You can add an avatar in your personal profile. Obviously, only appropriate, non-offensive images will be allowed for avatars. If any images that I feel are inappropriate are used, I'll ask the user to remove it, or I'll remove it. If it becomes a problem, I'll be forced to disable them again. Just a friendly warning!
