I found this link and thought I'd pass it on. Bamboo is a great renewable product to use.

My mom is having all her carpet and parkay floors removed and she is getting bamboo flooring! She did not know that it was available. If you know anyone remodeling, let them know about bamboo floors. Not everyone knows. Cork is another good one, but I have heard of a few issues, you may wish to look into getting a "floating" (not sure what that means) installation of it.
