Does anyone know of an easier way of getting rid of Wild Onions from a lawn other than digging each one of them up? I live in east Dallas/Mesquite area.
I'm just wondering are these small in size, about 4-6 inches tall? and have they always grown in the same area of your yard? and are you by a creek? If so you might want to dig around in the soil to find arrow heads,a friend of mine always had a spot in his yard ,close to the creekbed that had wild onoins and wild carrots growing,he always wondered why they grew there, after hereing that Indians had lived on the land at one time he started digging around the area and found arrow heads.

Are they wild onions or rain lilies? Wild onions smell like onions. Rain lilies look like onion but don't smell like them. Search the Dirt Doctor forums for "rain lilies".
The answer is probably the same either way - you have to dig them out.
