How do Bay trees handle DFW winters? I seem to recall Howard mentioning he has one. If it could take it, would I need to let the tree reach a certain size before planting it in the ground? Currently it is only four inches tall.

Thanks in advance for all the comments!

Bay does very outdoors in north Texas, if under an organic program. You can see photos of mine in the photo gallery under personal garden and herbs. That plant has been outside in our garden for 20 years.
