I found a 1 yr old Brazos Live Oak commercially. I'm unfamiliar with this variety. It had a live oak looking leaf, but with jagged edges. Does anybody know anything about it?

Sounds like live oaks being grown in the west side of Houston, I guess . Young live oaks esp saplings sometimes have pointed tips on edge of the leaves. When live oaks get older they have smooth edges.

Thanks for the information. The nursery said that the only difference between this variety and the others is that it will have a purplish hue to it. This didn't sound right at all, so I thought I'd ask. Guess I'll find out in time.
