Note the photo. This bug caught my attention. I don't think I've seen a bug this color before. It's pink and tiny. They are numerous right now in my vegetable garden.
I am fairly sure it is a Springtail species in the family Poduridae. I suspect the pink species is fairly rare. This group of insects are not well known at all.

P.S donot kill them they eat mildue form compost or heavy watering but they are very benificial for the garden.
