This is my second year to grow a garden and it's bigger this time around but would like to know what is the best way to contol pests. I had horn worms in my tomatoes, flies in my beans, aphids on everything else. What can I do to help prevent or contol. I have those funny little flies in my beans now! I have planted garlic and marigolds around my garden since I was told it would help detour some pests but it didn't help much lst year. It did make it look pretty though. I live in Sugar Land.

Companion planting and cover cropping is the number one pest control in a totally organic farming system.

Second, is using mild natural pesticides like garlic, hot pepper, canola oil, liquid soap teas on most pests.
