I have 3 little trees that showed up on an empty flower pot. I have not been able to find any books with leaves like this.
However, I did find a tree with a leaf like this about 5 miles away from my house, but I'm still unable to identify the tree. There were leaves on this tree like this leaf as well as some of them had pointier points to them as well.
Can someone help identify this? If it is a Cottonwood, I will just compost them, if it's a Redbud, I will plant it in an appropriate place. Or is it something else all together?

Hmmm... not sure at all. It's not Oak, Ash, Elm, Birch, Willow, Rowan or Maple. I don't believe it's either redbud, cottonwood, dogwood, hackberry or even pistache.
I'll have to look into it.
Anyone else recognize it, chime on in.

Hmm, I didn't think the end was tapered enough to be cottonwood, but it just might be.
Hard to tell without seeing more to the texture, or in fact without seeing the tree itself.
Good call Leslie
