I have a Chinese Pistache that has a 3 in trunk and has been in my backyard for about 2 years. It currently seems to be losing some of the bark on the main trunk. Is this normal? Just wondering if I need to apply the tree goop or not.

Also I have pictures that I can post or email if someone wants to look at the tree.

Send me your pictures and be sure to include the base of the tree and a wide shot along with the actual spot where the bark has peeled.
