The low concentration of Chloramine combined with the short amount of time from the faucet to actual use is not enough to kill the beneficial fungus and bacteria being added in a watering can application for soil. Remember this would be different if you left the THRIVE product in treated water for several hours and is one of the reasons we recommend that it be used immediately once diluted.

Chloramine treated city water will kill fish though and best practices dictate letting tap water rest from week to week in an open container and you should never replace more than 20% of the water where fish are present without treating the water with some type of water conditioner.
