why don't I have any luck growing cilantro? I planted it in the sun and I know it can't take the real hot Dallas heat, but we haven't had that yet - even so, it went to seed right away and now seems to be completely dead.
Mine did exactly the same thing. Pull up the dead plant and scatter some of your seeds. You should get more soon. Keep some of the dried seeds because that is corriander.

Also, cilantro does better in cool weather. It bolts in heat.
If you had seed and scattered it like sandih said, you should
have cilantro seedlings come up this fall and last until next
spring.
