I have seen on this sight that used coffee grinds are good for the soil. So I have been saving them in an old coffee can. They stay wet and are starting to grow mold. Should I dry them out? Any how much do I spread on the lawn. I have St. Aug.

Coffee grounds should be dried out unless you are going to use them right away. The folks who get them in 20 gallon containers from Starbucks will spread them out on cardboard in the driveway to dry completely and then put them back in the bin.
The application rate is 10-20 pounds per 1,000 square feet - just like all the rest of the vegetable sources of protein.

Just make sure all of your trees are really trees on your property and not just a napping Ent. Trust me, you don't want to see and Ent on a caffiene rush.
I just use mine dry whenever I get enough to just toss into the planting beds or under a newly planted tree. Never got enough to do a whole yard.
