I have had a beautiful pink Jupiter's beard (centhranthus) in one of my borders for years. I really love this pretty flowering plant because of its hardiness, reliability, and the fact that it and the Russian Sage are equally invasive and keep each other in check. I have several "adventitial" pink baby Jupiter's beard plants show up in other borders in the area, and I encourage them...in one border, one of the babies is blooming white flowers! My question is this - do offspring of Jupiter's beard always bloom true to the parent, or is this from an "out of towner"?
