Hi, I live in Carrollton, Tx and I am wondering if it is too late to apply corn gluten meal. I've read that it should be used before weed germination. How do I know when that is?
A few weeks ago would have been better but now will work.
Nice thing with CGM is that even if there is not a single weed seed in your yard, it is a pretty potent fertilizer - very high protein (Nitrogen) and the worms like to eat it
Thanks for the advice CHF3. I went ahead and added it last weekend before the rain.
I googled forsythia and have never seen it around our neighborhood, but I found on organicaretexas.com that mid Feb and mid Sept is a good time, so hopefully I will remember when Sept rolls around.
