I have a question about the use of conmeal.I have read on this web site about the use of cornmeal for fungus on your feet also I've seen where it said a man used it for Lukemia. I am interested in what type of cornmeal to use and how this person used it. Doverstreet

The best type of cornmeal to use for fungal control is horticultural cornmeal. You can purchase it at any feed store. Some folks have put a half inch to an inch in the bottom of a pan filled with warm water to soak feet that were plagued by toenail fungus. Another person reported he just mixed a little with petroleum jelly and put that on his toenail before donning socks and shoes. Kinda squishy, but for those who do not have patience for soaking their feet...
I have not heard of it helping with Lukemia. Where did you hear about this?

I have not heard of corn meal having any efficacy in the treatment of leukemias - but, then, there are different kinds of leukemias - and I do know that there are many chemotherapy drugs that are made from vinca plants - in fact, that whole class of drugs is called the "vinca alkaloids" and that other drugs are made from certain kinds of molds...
As far as cornmeal in the treatment of foot fungus, it can be used as a direct "powedering" of the toes either in socks or in the shoes..and the soak will make for an environment that is not good for the growth of fungus..

Mrs Haefs thank you for your reply. The reason I asked about useing it for lukemia is because in the infomatin center of this web site if you go to C, and go to cornmeal then go to a feed back from Scott Brown he said that he was intriqued to hear on Howards show about a man treated for lukemia. I tried soaking in cornmeal, but it did not help my 10 year toe fungus. I tried using Vicks Vaporub about a month ago and it is nearly cleared up. I had even tried prescription medicine that did no good whatsoever.
