I have some wonderful Vinca major in a confined, shaded bed in my front yard. I have seen a couple of posts on the board about this plant wilting slightly because of the heat in summer. I am experiencing the same problem.
I have read a couple of places on the web that I should cut this plant back, but I haven't found anywhere that tells me exactly when and how much.
So, my questions are as follows:
1) SHOULD I really cut this plant back?
2) If so, WHEN should I cut it back?
3) HOW MUCH should I cut it back?
I just moved to
Texas from Phoenix, Az, and I can tell you for sure, this plant can deal with the heat. It might wilt at times when it gets really hot, but nothing in Texas compares to the 117 we got this summer in Phoenix and the vinca survived, just water it and it will be fine. I need to get some of this plant on our new lot.
