Keeping deer out of the garden: I thought that was impossible until I bought solar electric fence. I ran three strands of wire with metal posts and insulators at one foot, three foot and five foot. I then put a little peanut butter on the wire. Deer love peanut butter as do coon and other critters that eat my garden plants.

When animals lick the peanut butter off the wire, they really get a charge. I now have a garden that is deer proof and coon proof. Rabbits are still a problem.

I believe ACME still makes those exploding carrots. They usually wind up getting the coyotes though

A friend of mine swears by this method,he has his 2 year old pee on the ground next to his garden,he told me that after his son did this one day and he noticed that the deer didn't come in his backyard anymore.
