Star jasmine and ileagnus plant slowly dying with no visible predators;other plants nearby okay. First leaves turn yellow then brown then plant dies.

What kind of Elaeagnus do you have? There are several that I know of.

As for the star jasmine, could it be getting too much sun? They like the shade best.

Also, not knowing where you live makes it difficult to advise.
