In "Texas Organic Vegetable Gardening" by Howard Garrett and Malcomb Beck they mention that the elderberry bush (Sambucus canadensis) can be grown in Texas but I have not been able to find it. I called Elizabeth anna's old world garden in Fort Worth and they do not sell it. I talked with a person at Calloway's Nursery in Arlington, the person was familiar with it but has never seen it grown or sold in this area (Dallas/Fort Worth). Can you please tell me if it can be grown in this area and where I could buy one. Thank you very much.
In the spring you might want to check with North haven Gardens in Dallas. I know they don't have any now (I work there) but I think I remember seeing that we have had it in the past. Call around the end of March. Other than that, I don't know what the other nurseries stock. You would have to call them individually.
