I bet my tree will be at it's best on Thanksgiving & I'd invite EVERYONE but I want some turkey leftovers. Y'all are welcome to drive by &/or stop in for a cool one. Patty
Wow. This is quite an open invitation. This could turn into a big party! <g>

I'm reporting a nearly all yellow Ginkgo this am! I can still see tinges of pale green in the 'innards' but those of you going on "leaf peeper" rides this weekend don't miss my tree. Corner of Parker & Roundrock (Plano) look 1 short block to the north-wow.

The best tree that had fall color was the shumard red oak. Just about everywhere I saw a shumard where of good red ,and some also provided winter color as well.

OUr Shumard did a good job and then our Lacebark Elm surprised the heck outta me and turned RED. It's always turned yellow to gold in the past.

How interesting. Nature is fun, isn't it? Can you share pictures?
Never-the-less, thanks for the report!

I have also seen some trees in the past that are not supposed to have good colors have good colors. Some including silver maples. Some actually turn red. I have seen post oaks have a rusty brown color like the bald cypresses. Blackjacks can have some excellent reds. Willows, both weeping and the black, can have good yellows, especially in front of a sunset. It looks like bunch of yellow stripes because of its narrow leaves.

No, the 'parking' area on a corner lot is NEVER fun. One year we had nothing but burr clover or something that looked like it. Then lo & behold, when it died we had the best bermuda on the block. Lately that has not been the case, however.
