I think I know I should thin mine out but my ? is why dosen't mine bloom? Last year I thought it was dead-it had 3 tiny flowers then leafed out. This year (I think I thinned it a tiny bit last year) it bloomed maybe 15 blooms. Should I prune/thin it severly when it quits blooming? The one on the home page is so beautiful.

Prune after the spring bloom.

Mine gets full sun. It did put out a few more blooms since I posted...it is always later than the others in the neighborhood. I'll thin it more this year & see if that helps.
