I studied accounting and information systems in school, and I currently work for a CPA firm. And while I like working in finance and computers, these types of jobs tend to be of the cubicle sort, not exactly natural.
I've been listening to the Dirt Doctor radio show via the online podcasts for a few months now, and I admit that I'm sold on the whole organic program and lifestyle. I find the organic approach fascinating as well as more healthy.
I would love to work in the field somehow and incorporate natural living into my work as well as home life. Does anyone have any tips on how to make this transition? Or any recommendations on companies currently hiring? (Dallas area)
I was an IT project manager for 25 years and got laid off last year. I had 7 years of part time nursery experience and have been an organic gardener for 20 years. I made the transition last summer to supervising a greenhouse for the tx discovery gardens. We're totally organic. I wouldn't change a thing about the experience I am having now. There's nothing like it. Good luck on your search.
