Well we have a Bradford pear tree that is loaded every year. The problem is that they never get soft - hard as rocks. I just leave them hanging and eventually they all off and I use them as bowling balls to roll across the street into a greenbelt. I know that sounds silly but I don't know what to do with them. Do they have to be picked to ripen. Hope someones send me an e-mail to let me know. We live in Lewisville, TX. thanks so much

Are you sure that it is Bradford pears? It is an ornamental pear. It is NON edible too. You'll get horrible smell when the flowers bloom.
