I went to several places and found a decent Drummond. It had few circling roots and a pretty good root flare.
It was however, staked far too long. You could tell the stake had been left for a couple of growing seasons. The bark was discolored where it was wrapped (green stretchy stuff tied to a bamboo stick). The trunk is straight and strong despite the above.
Anything I should do besides tree goop and/or garrett juice?
