I have been using organic supplements (corn meal, molasses, green sand, lavasand, nematodes) for almost a year now. However, it is still rather pale green looking in most areas. There are a dozen or so 12 to 24" diamater patches where the grass has taken on the deep "healthy looking" green shade I was hoping to see all over. I attribute this to where the dog has been applying his own organic program. With that in mind, I was told to add nitrogen (bio-form), which I did over a month ago. So far, I don't see any real difference. Not sure what to do next.

Without knowing how much molasses you're using, I would say to cut that down to 3 ounces per 1,000 square feet used no more frequently than 3 times per season.

Then I would double up on the corn meal rate. Whatever rate you were using it at, double it to as high as 40 pounds per 1,000 square feet. Then come back in 3 weeks and report back.

Too much sugar can tie up nitrogen in the soil, but the release will come.
