Hi I am new to the forum and would like some help. I am a master gardener in Cameron county Texas. We have a plot of land that will not drain warter very easy their is black clay on bottom then about 6 to 10 inches of mulch on top of the clay and when it rains water stands. We are trying to come up with some soulitions to fix the problem. Would using Bio SI and molasse work. I am thinking boosting microb activiity would work best. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Any chance you can link to a picture? How much land is it?
This is a drainage issue but it might be a deep layer issue. Did you apply the mulch over top of the clay? Do you grow anything there? Would you consider growing alfalfa??
