I have a cactus like plant that I need help identifying. It is shaped like a tree with a trunk coming up from the ground extending out to a series of branches. The entire thing, including the trunk is covered with thorns.
It has beautiful vivid green pear-shaped leaves. So far I haven't seen any flowers blooming from it but I've only had it for about 6 months. Believe it or not, when I purchased it from a local nursery the person there told me she didn't know it's name. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Could you send a picture or the location where you bought this plant? I raise succulents as a hobby and may be able to help you. Keep in mind that nurseries sometimes buy unusual plants without knowing exactly what they are.
