I planted a new Hibiscus tree this weekend. The root ball wasn't very large & it is having a hard time staying vertical with the recent wind & rain. I'd rather not use tie-downs if there is a better solution. Any ideas?

Also, should I remove the buds (it has several now) so that the tree can spend its energy forming stronger root system or does it really matter?

Thanks,
Kevin

Hope it's not a tropical one unless it's in a greenhouse. I've never seen a perennial one tall enough to have to stake.
