When I want to post another website in an answer or a new post, how do I create the link here? On other sites, like MSN sites, whenever I type out the ".com" or ".htm" of a URL, I automatically get a link. I am not real familiar with this format.

You can type, or paste the link into a message. Then highlight the text and click the URL button. You should get an active link then.
