Post subject: how to get rid of Western Horse Nettles

I planted a one acre food plot for wildlife and ended up with a one acre patch of horse nettles. Can I cut them down and get rid of them like that. The green fruit was already on it a month ago and I am worryed that I'll end up with more next year if I don't do something.

I sprayed our nettles with 20% vinegar and a little soap. Spray before they make seed if you can not then you may have to spray more frequebtly but you will get them.
