Dear Group, Last spring I planted a Eupatorium purpureum. I had seen the Joe-Pye Weed on TV and it had rosy pink/purple blooms. I planted it to attract butterflies. Mine has bloomed white. I'm concerned with the white blooms it will not attract them. I checked Missouri Wildflowers/Denison. He states the flowers can be pink, purple, off-white. Has anyone else planted this plant and had white blooms? I purchased this plant from a very reputable nursery. I am very disapointed at this point. I specifically made a separate bed for this plant since it is known to be invasive. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the bloom colors by changing the Ph of the soil? (Like the hydrangeas?) Thanks for any input. Christain

Christian,
I know it is a pain in the neck, but I am in the habit of returning nursery plants and products that are inferior or are improperly labeled. If you have the receipt, most stores will accept returns without question.
