I have been manually removing a "nice" stand of Johnson grass in my garden but it has become a full time job. Can I kill it with the vinegar solution, then till the dead grass into the soil. There is part of my garden that is not planted yet, but will be shortly if I can get all the Johnson grass out. Any other recommendations?
Excuse me, I'm back now It has been a long time since I've had to deal with Johnson grass, but it should be a great candidate for the vinegar/orange oil/soap solution with it's broad leaf lots of surface area to be treated. The times I dealt with it, it was pretty easy to tame with frequent cutting.

Thanks for replying...glad to hear that Johnson grass is a good candidate for the vinegar solution. I was still wondering, though, if Icould till the dead grass back into the soil, or if I need to totally remove it before tilling and planting?
