Can anyone tell me if there's a retailer in the Arlington, H-E-B, or Fort Worth vicinity that carries Silver Dollar ferns? Have seen specimens at the Louisiana and Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, and would love to grow one. However, haven't had much luck finding them; also searched the internet.

I have been calling... either the callee doesn't know what I'm looking for, or the nursery doesn't carry it. (Or maybe the callee doesn't know but says they don't carry it anyway.) I don't seem to have much luck shopping by phone; either the store is too busy, understaffed, or I'm the one at the checkout, waiting patiently to pay, while a caller is keeping the employee busy with goofy questions.
Anyhow, I was posting to see if anyone has seen this plant for sale. Would really like to grow one.
Sounds like you've been calling the plant section of Home Depot. I work at a Dallas nursery and we carry a few but they are very, very tender and a little hard to grow..they must be treated as annuals of course. I don't know about garden centers in your area but would venture a guess that if you look up business listed in the directory portion of this website and call them, you would get better results. I think it's more widely know as Maidenhair than silver dollar.
